CLINTABS® (clindamycin hydrochloride) Tablets
The only clindamycin antibiotic available in an easy-to-swallow tablet form.
Clindamycin hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of susceptible dental and skin infections, deep wounds and abscesses, and osteomyelitis in dogs. Refer to the product insert for more information on specific pathogen and treatment indications.
- Proven effective oral antibiotic treatment in dogs for dental infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Bacteroides fragilis, Prevotella melaninogenicus, Fusobacterium necrophorum, and Clostridium perfringens.
- Also treats skin infections, including deep wounds and abscesses, and osteomyelitis caused by a variety of bacterial pathogens. See product insert for complete skin infection treatment indications.
- Exclusive easy-to-swallow tablet form makes administration and compliance easy for dog owners.
- Administer every 12 hours for up to 28 days as needed. For acute infections, discontinue use after 3 to 4 days if no response is seen.
In clinical trials, vomiting and diarrhea were occasionally observed. Do not use in animals with a history of hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin. Use with caution in patients with very severe renal disease and/or very severe hepatic disease.
