VIRBAC INTRODUCES RESIKETOCHLOR® LEAVE-ON LOTION TO THE DERMATOLOGICAL LINE.
ResiKetoChlor® Leave-On Lotion helps improve the ease of application and the contact time of active ingredients.
FORT WORTH, Texas (November 26, 2008) – Virbac Animal Health (Virbac) announces the addition of ResiKetoChlor® Leave-On Lotion to the company’s dermatology line. This new product utilizes exclusive Virbac technologies in an antiseptic leave-on lotion developed for the management of conditions responsive to ketoconazole or chlorhexidine.
“The ease of application and prolonged contact time of ResiKetoChlor Leave-On Lotion makes it an ideal product choice,” said Dena Ware, Virbac marketing manager. “Managing infectious dermatitis conditions through the use of a leave-on lotion not only provides convenience and pet-owner friendliness, but also helps to promote compliance.”
ResiKetoChlor Leave-On Lotion with Virbac’s anti-adhesive glycotechnology utilizes a unique combination of monosaccharides and an alkylpolyglucoside that reduces bacterial and yeast adhesion to the stratum corneum. This action physically disrupts microorganism colonization on the skin surface and may delay onset of irritation due to topical bacteria or yeast. Additionally, Virbac’s SPHERULITES® Microcapsules, an exclusive encapsulation system that provides a slow release of ingredients long after product application, allows prolonged contact time of active ingredients with the hair coat and skin. This new lotion does not leave an oily or sticky residue on the hair coat and may be used on dogs, cats and horses.
ResiKetoChlor Leave-On Lotion is available in an 8 oz. bottle. Virbac dermatology products are available only through veterinarians.
